5 Steps To Have More Money This Week


I hear this all the time.

I want to get out of debt, but I don’t have the money.

I am barely making ends meet, so where am I supposed to get the money to pay off debt?

I can’t get out of debt until I make more money.

Actually, you do have the money, you are just not spending it in the places that will make the biggest impact.

Yes, there are some people out there that truly do not have an extra cent, but they can make changes in other ways. (Another story for another time)

Most of you  make enough money, the problem is,  you just don’t know it.


So, I created this list to help you get out of your head and into your wallet:

Five steps to creating more money this week –


1. Decide and Clarify.

What is one goal you have for 2013? Get really clear and specific on the end result. Do you want to go to school? Get a new car? Take a trip for Christmas?

Decide what you want and then determine how much it will take to get there.

Done? Good.


2. Who are you at the end of that goal.

I have a vision of being my own boss, however when I play this vision in my mind, I am healthy, slender, free and full of confidence. This is not the person I see staring back at me in the mirror right now…I’ve got work to do.

Keep this vision handy, you’ll need it later.


3. Review your credit card/ debit card/ expenses for the last 90 days.

I’m talking everything from gas to that pack of gum. Leave nothing out. Notice where most of your money goes; does it support your goal?

List the top 3 expenditures.


4. Create a budget.

Before you can rock your goals, you have to know what you are starting with. Seriously.


5. Cut the fat (I’m not sure if this is even a real phrase, but I remember hearing it somewhere).

To create something new in our lives we must release something old.

What I mean is look at your newly created budget and consider each and every expense. What are you willing to sacrifice to get what you really want?

I gave up cable, and never looked back. I have way more fun with my business, than cable ever gave me!


6. Bring it all together.

You have now learned where all your money goes and where you can actually cut expenses, commit to your goal and when you feel like going off track…remember your vision. Keep it close to your heart and fresh in your mind.

I bet a dollar to donuts that if you are really honest with yourself, you can cut $100 of expenses every single month.

No kidding.

How many impromptu purchases do you have? Have you tried grocery shopping with a list and sticking to it without purchasing those extras? Give up cable, I promise you won’t die. You may even discover the joys of reading again. Make your own coffee. You know they make cups that travel now (and they even look like the ones Starbucks uses).

How would it feel to add $100 to your goal every month?

I guarantee you it feels more fulfilling and empowering than sitting on the couch watching the boob tube ever did.

I am testing this theory:  increased body confidence =  increased worthiness = increased income.

I’m calling it the Rockin B & B Challenge or RBB for short (B & B = bod and bank account).

For the next 12 months I will be:

Taking one action step to improve my health  and making one mindset shift to ensure I maintain it.

I will track the whole thing and share it all every week, to keep me accountable and in hopes of inspiring you to challenge yourself!


If it works: I will be rich and hot                               

If it doesn’t work: I will be hot

(That’s a win/win for me!)


To help me rock this challenge in the healthiest way possible, I am so honored to have been able to team up with  The Women’s Wellness Coach, Michelle Greenman.

Once I explained my plans, she was thrilled to share her wisdom to help make this a brilliant success. She will be the guiding force to make sure I focus on the most important aspects first and do it completely naturally.



To begin, we agreed that water was the best place for me to start.

You see a couple of weeks ago (2 to be exact), I became aware of just how little water I actually drank.

There was a few days in a row, I only had about 2 cups each day!!

No wonder I was so tired and addicted to energy drinks.

I began making an effort and now I am up to 30 oz. a day or one large water bottle. So I will stick with that focus and increase it to 125 oz. a day, which is 1/2 my body weight in ounces.


To really make a permanent shift, she encouraged me to focus on short-term goals.

Instead of getting overwhelmed with thinking about how much 125 oz. of water is, break it up. So I now challenge myself to drink 8 oz. every 2 hours; this feels way easier, right!?


August Challenge Summary:

My Health Goal: Drink half my body weight in ounces daily -125oz- or 4 large water bottles.  I will increase by 30oz each week, so I am drinking 125 oz. daily by the last week of Aug

My Game Changer: Think small; break up the challenge into smaller, less overwhelming parts and slowly increase.


I am so excited to see how this challenge will change my life and I do hope you will join me!
