ReRun: …And Forgive for Goodness Sake!

Welcome in the holiday season!

Joy to the world and carols around the fire and mistletoe…

Family drama from years past and arguments in the kitchen and exhaustion

Whew! What an emotional rollercoaster the holidays can be.

Forgive

I am proposing a new kind of holiday…

One of forgiveness and love and calm

We usually think of feeling gratitude and forgiveness around ‘the Holidays’, but I say let’s make it our priority EVERYDAY!

What a world it would be if we each took time daily to reflect on what we are grateful for and forgive (especially ourselves!)

Each person is doing the best we can with the knowledge we have in that moment….when we know better, we do better. Every individual that comes into your life is there to teach you something. Forgiveness is not saying it is ok….it is simply saying you are open to ‘getting’ the lesson.

So let’s learn from past mistakes and forgive someone today, you would want to be forgiven for your mistakes right?

Besides, the only person a grudge hurts is you.

Notice the shift.

LiveLove,

Jenean

P.S. Who do you need to forgive today? Tell us in the comments below.

{RBB}Messages and Oct Summary

forgivness

I arrived at the hotel, having just gone through an intense week at my job, excited to see what the next 2 weeks had prepared for me.

My schedule consisted of a week of networking and training with my job and then off to meet my Mastermind Group and meet and network in an entrepreneur setting.

I was definitely curious to see how this would turn out.

Interestingly enough, the universe had organized a perfect plan, once again.

It turns out, BOTH settings delivered the same message!

The message of leadership, individual responsibility, believing in yourself and taking risks.

Demonstrations and exercises were done that reflected, projected and erected ALL the places I was holding back in life. I mean they literally GLARED right at me the whole 2 weeks!

So needless to say, it was a month of getting real and getting honest with myself and what I really wanted.

Was I really willing to take the risks needed or was I going to play safe and let go of the dream.

It became very apparent: It is now or never!

I chose NOW. I came back inspired and full of passion for my dreams.

And then reality hit!

Even though I was determined and recommitted, my old habits kept pushing their way into my day.

I found myself eating in front of the TV instead of writing or walking.

I found myself taking on an extra project at work instead of freeing my time to focus on my business.

I was making excuses and rationalizing why I could sleep another hour.

THIS WAS AWESOME NEWS!

Why?

Because now I can clearly see where I am holding myself back, the thinking and actions that need change and where my energy is going.

I can now take control and make the change I want!!

Now I call that a success.

Here’s how things are looking so far:

                                     July                              Aug                                Sep                                 Oct

(control group)

Weight                 255                        255                           249                            253

Income                 $4000                   $4000                       $8088                        $6090

Worthiness             5                           6                              6.5                             6

Opportunities        2                           5                               6                              4

Worthiness scale is 1-10 with 10 being the highest (this is a personal view of how I felt about myself this month…no concrete data. Just an honest, open assessment.)

Opportunities = income increasing opportunities that presented themselves (may have saved me money or made me money)

My interpretation:

I gained weight. I didn’t stick to any of my previous routines while traveling and found it a big mental challenge to get back on track.

My feeling of self worth dropped as I was forced to examine all the places that I was keeping myself small. I am truly grateful for this enlightening month, however, facing your stuff is exhausting, icky and really sucks. But forgiving myself has been a true blessing this month!

My money went down some, but still above where I started, which is where I think I am overall.

Better than when I started.

Next month: In the spirit of forgiveness and forward movement, I have decided to have a do-over. I will be doing the same challenge that I had intended to do this month.

What can you forgive yourself for and recommit to starting again? Let me know in the comments!

Hugs and health,

Jenean

{RBB} A Confession

travel

In the spirit of truth and transparency, I have a confession to make.

I have been travelling since Sep 30 and everything I have been doing for the last 2 months flew right out the window.

I did absolutely no exercise whatsoever (I sat on planes and in meetings, so I actually moved less than I usually do.)

They had food at every break and large meals, and for some reason, if it’s there you like HAVE to eat it…right?!

And don’t get me started on the open bar!!

I did not make the effort I could have to ensure I had enough water to drink, so I have spent the last 10 days, seriously dehydrated.

Although, its not all bad.

This time of gluttony and slackery reminded me why I am on this mission to begin with.

I actually CRAVED vegetables and water. (And yes…I think hell has frozen over).

I have also spent this time surrounded by leaders, light workers and change-makers and this in itself has driven me to recommit myself to my vision and purpose. I have laughed, cried, hugged and surrendered to my fears, thoughts and insecurities.

It has been a completely life-changing 10 days.

I have accepted that striving for perfect is irrational and martyrish, I am now shooting for awesome and am ok with that.

Forgiveness is a key element I am learning (especially forgiving myself).

Results…here I come!

I am back ~  I got up this morning and recommitted to my dream.

  • I exercised
  • I am on my way back up to 125oz a day
  • I am ready to jump back into my mission for the month…

Week 2 – Medium breakfast / normal lunch / small dinner

Although with the mindset piece….I think a secret bonus to not following my agenda, allowed me to tune into my body even more.

Now, that I am listening, I just need to act accordingly. (Action: the secret of all great successes).

Have you ever had a time you didn’t follow through with a commitment? How did you overcome it and get back on track?

Go now and leave your story below in the comment box!!

Here’s to your success,

Jenean
